Art Direction + Interactive Design: Collaborating with the marketing, production, and engineering teams, I was the lead designer on this interactive campaign surrounding Converse's new all-weather Shield Canvas sneakers. I assisted with the conceptualization during the initial brainstorm for the proposal, ultimately creating mocks and design materials for the pitch to the client. After the program was sold, I was tasked with leading the team on storyboarding, location scouting and art-directing for each photo shoot with three (3) different indie artists in Brooklyn. Lastly, I personally designed each of the three (3) distinct, long-form editorial pieces that featured interactive visual elements and parallax-scrolling design, from wire-framing to cutting and more as I prepared assets for our engineering team to implement into each finished article.
Program Overview: In 2016, SPIN + Converse partnered on a comprehensive program highlighting the release of the newly designed Chuck II Weatherized Canvas. To demonstrate how Converse's new shoes allowed artists to get where they need to be (regardless of the elements!) SPIN followed three buzzing artists throughout their day in New York City. Through the lens of SPIN's expert editorial vision and original photography, music fans were able to get a behind-the-scenes look at what a day-in-the-life of their favorite artists looks like. Accumulating over 175K pageviews, the three-part content piece was obsessively consumed across SPIN.
